Sarah Grace Johnson, Casting Director for Nickelodeon

Sarah Grace Johnson was born and raised in Springfield, MO. Prior to her move to Los Angeles, she was involved with the local and extras casting of Winter’s Bone, including the original staged reading, with Wright/Laird Casting based out of Kansas City, MO. Sarah’s love for casting may have started as a kid while working on Annie at Springfield Little Theatre but it would take years for her to realize this as her passion and career choice.

Sarah began her casting career in Los Angeles in 2010 under Casting Director Sheryl Levine working on Sonny With a Chance for Disney Channel. She would continue working with Sheryl as well as other casting directors on other shows for the network including Wizards of Waverly Place, So Random, Dog With a Blog, Jessie, Stuck in the Middle, and Bizaardvark as well as Disney XD’s Pair of Kings and Mighty Med. She also worked on shows such as Supah Ninjas, Fred: The Show, and Figure It Out for Nickelodeon. Other noteworthy projects with Awesomeness TV include Guidance, Expelled, Side Effects, Foursome, and Freakish.

After a brief hiatus from the entertainment business, Sarah returned to Los Angeles in 2021 and reconnected with her mentor and friend, Sheryl, working on projects such as Monster High: The Movie, Monster High 2: The Movie, Are You Afraid of the Dark: Ghost Island, A Really Haunted Loud House, and The Really Loud House live action series seasons one and two.

Sarah has an innate love of actors and finds her work in the kids and family world very rewarding. One of her favorite opportunities is to seek new talent, young or older, and watch as their career develops. Outside of casting, Sarah enjoys time with her family, friends, and traveling as often as possible.
