With the number of high profile Hollywood features and television shows shooting in this region in recent years, Casting Directors are hungry for local talent that they can confidently cast in supporting roles opposite major stars in projects helmed by notable directors. Are you ready to be challenged (and more importantly, challenge yourself!) to raise your own personal bar to work at an industry-standard level of eliteness? As a thirty year industry veteran who has performed in scenes opposite a dozen or so Academy Award, Emmy and Golden Globe winners, David’s aim is to help provide students with the necessary confidence, discipline and creative vision to compete at the highest level – or whatever “next level” means to them personally. A particular focus of the course will center on cultivating a curiosity and passion for the craft of acting that supplants the need for validation, as well as adopting an “I Belong in the Room” mentality. In-depth approaches to script analysis, audition technique and shooting guest star/supporting roles on set will be addressed.

This course is designed for the most enthusiastic and deeply committed of students, or those looking for the “nudge” to get there.
