Scene Study (Level 2)

This course has a prerequisite of “Foundations of Acting”

Actors who want to tell stories, share truth, and explore their craft with authenticity (AKA be a Director’s DREAM to work with!!) need to know how to tap into the very foundations of what it means to be an actor.

This class will delve deeper into the foundations introduced in the prerequisite through in depth scene work. Through interactive work, Maryann will introduce techniques to push actors out of their comfort zone as they strive for truthful discovery within the scripted material. Actors will work together to present scenes assigned in advance with a specific goal in mind to individually encourage each actor to connect to their material in a truthful way.
