In order to stand out in auditions, actors need to be making strong choices. Casting Directors, whether auditioning in person or using self-tapes, seek actors who bring a unique perspective to a character, and who can effectively incorporate feedback! During this class, actors will learn how to “trust one’s truth” and find ways to shift from “playing the idea” of a character to authentically embodying a character by drawing from one’s own life experience! Mastering these skills will not only help actors shine during auditions but also elevate their performance on set!
Each week, students will be assigned sides that they will then prepare and self-tape prior to class!
